Cheek piercing question?

I got my cheeks pierced a little over a month ago and they seemed to be healing fine in the beginning. The skin around the bar was slightly hard but iw as told thats normal but then the hardness started getting bigger and bigger and now its just red and hard lol its still pussing and all that bull so im assuming they are infected so im back to the mouth wash and sea salt soaks but i guess my question is will the hardness around them go away after a while or at LEAST get smaller . the hardness is around it the size of a dime . I know my explanation sucks but if your a piercer or have had this problem before im sure you know what im talking about. THANKS
