IPad camera connection kit not working?

I just bought an iPad camera connection kit for my iPad 2. I cannot transfer jpeg photos of scanned 35mm negatives from a Sandisk 4gb SD card. I scanned my negatives using a brand new Canon scanner/printer machine I just bought. I ran into that problem the first day I bought the iPad camera kit. After doing some research online, I managed to get my photos to transfer by changing the filenames of the photos to less than 8 characters. The next day, I tried the same thing with a new batch of photos, but none are able to transfer. I just get a message saying there are no photos to import whenever I insert the SD card. I have the DCIM folder and all my photos are jpeg. I returned the camera connection kit and got a new one. I am still having the exact same problems. The funny thing is, when I use that same SD card on my digital camera, my Ipad recognizes the pics I took with that camera and is able to transfer them without a problem! I am using an iMac. My iPad has the latest software installed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't u think the source engine is outdated? Just look at IW engine of COD black ops and Frostbite 2 of battlefield 3 they are the best in the world in terms of realism and physics and many other engines. Advice after a so called Suicide attempt!?

Okay so about 2 days ago i tried to have an overdose on pills, not really intentionally to kills myself but that i didn't know what i was doing if you understand? so luckily at the hospital i was okay no damage to my liver or anything. But i went to the hospital in an ambulance since my parents were at work. when i was their they called my parents at work and i had to talk to this crisis worker to see if i could go home in case i harmed myself again... and this is all happening the week of my exams im 16. But when my dad came to pick me up from the hospital he was shocked and really supportive and was upset that i couldn't talk to him about how stressed i was with school and soccer. While my mom was yelling at me saying how she was disgusted by the thing i did, and giving me stories if i ever have a custody battle for my kids, i would lose cause they would look back that i tried suicide and that i ruined any big job. She said i did it just to get out of exams which is NOT true but she wouldn't listen she just said how she never wants to looks at me again or even help me with school again. and it made me cry alot because shes Always the supportive one and she didn't even care, that i could of died or ask if iw as okay, she just kept yelling at me. What am i suppose to do? Why is she acting like that? i know i did something stupid and regret it but still. Its the Summer and now i have that on my back. What can i do to get my mom to forgive me and help me forget about what happened! any suggestions?

Why do i get the chill bumps only on spots of my legs?

So for the past week I've getting this weird tingling sensation in my legs it happens randomly and it doent feel like regular chill bumps and its been like 90+ degrees outside so I don't understand why I'm getting them in the first place. Stinky pickles - what the hell is that spice?

One of my favourite restaurants changed their pickles in the last few months. I like pickles - kosher, garlic, bread/butter, spicy, etc. But these pickles are...awful. Shape/colourwise, they are sliced lengthwise, translucent, light green, not crispy. But there's a spice in there that is just...nasty. Like sweat and bile mixed together. They are horribly pungent. The smell lingers in your nose. I picked it off my burger a couple of times, and the smell/taste lingers on the burger, and also on my fingers (even after multiple washings). I had thought maybe it was a bad batch, but they are still serving them, and I honestly think they are supposed to be that way. I now tell them "NO pickle", but I am just dying to know what the heck kind of pickles these are, and what that spice/flavour is. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

DMV VA reinstatement fee?

I had a VA learners permit but it was suspended. I now live in DC and I tried getting a drivers license out here but they said I had to clear somethings up with the DMV VA first. I paid the reinstatement fee and I tried to surrender my permit but the woman said I had to take an 8 hour driver improvement course. But, I dont live in VA anymore so why am I still required to take a drivers improvement course? Concerns about mortgage pre approval from bank of america?

I received pre-approval from Bank of America for an FHA and VA Vendee loan. This was in early April and they pulled my credit before granting the pre-approval. I finally found a house and made an offer that was accepted. The proposed closing date was scheduled for July 29, but because of the length of time between then and when I received the initial pre-approval, I was advised to allow them to pull another credit report (this was last week). I did this and my score is now 656 (up from 628), my debt-to-income ratio has slightly lowered (due to paying off one credit card and paying down another) and everything else is the same. I had a bankruptcy which was discharged four years ago, and since that time I struggled for a few months (late 2008/early 2009) and had an erroneous state tax lien on my report. They asked from an explanation for these events and stated that I could provide a letter explaining the situations. These same items were on both credit reports pulled by BoA, but now I am being told that they are denying approval because of these items. Why would the grant a pre-approval for 170k, but deny my approval for 97k? I am a college educator and I have been on the job for almost three years. I was told that they would need certain items to process the loan, however they requested none of these items before denying me. I received pre-approval from Wells Fargo (also done in early April) which is still valid. I spoke with that loan officer today and he doesn't see the problem. I would prefer the Vendee program because of the lower fees/closing costs in addition to the zero money down payment, however I may have to go to the FHA from Wells Fargo. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or why this could have happened? Has this happened to others? Any information that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What is wrong with our refrigerator?

We have a Maytag model RTD1900DAB refrigerator (which I believe was manufactured in 1994) which has a freezer at the top with an ice maker inside. We have had frequent issues with the ice maker inside the freezer but very few with the freezer or refrigerator themselves. On a regular basis, the ice created by the ice maker will freeze into one large block; we will then pull the ice box out, melt the ice out and melt the ice frozen inside the tube which pours the water into the ice maker which then fixes the problem. Last night, we discovered that the refrigerator was very warm. We pulled the bottom vent off and vacuumed the dust and dog hair out from underneath the refrigerator, closed it back up, then gently pulled the refrigerator out and vacuumed behind it removing the dust and dog hair there as well. We pushed the refrigerator back and were careful to make sure the cords were still plugged in and in tact. We also noticed at this time the ice was frozen in a solid chunk, so we melted it and cleaned that part of the freezer as we usually do. The freezer was still very cold like it should be (still is this morning too), but no change in the refrigerator temperature. In addition, we noticed that only one batch of about six ice cubes was made overnight (which isn't normal). This morning, I noticed that a lot of water is dripping inside the refrigerator now. What could be going on? I can't imagine it's the seal on the refrigerator or freezer door, because it's a sudden problem that's come up. I'm only a 24 year old woman so I don't know how to open the compartments up and check any of the coils. I don't know how this particular refrigerator works but it seems to me that the problem could be with the freezer needing to be defrosted as there is a light frosty deposit on the back interior of the freezer too. My fiance and I moved into a 2 family house 9 months ago. We live upstairs and a young man lives downstairs. We never had any problems up until 2 months ago. The guy downstairs had his "ex-girlfriend" move in that had just gotten out of jail so she had no where else to go. Before she moved in he also had another guy living their undercover that was not on the lease (but he kept a low profile and was no probelm). Also, we have a dog that we had to sign a contract for and pay a pet fee for every month. He has a huge dog and a cat living their without permission and now this girl. I dont care as long as they arent causing problems. But ever since he had this girl move in who isnt on the lease she has been telling my finace and I what she does and doesnt want us to do with our apartment. Telling us to keep our dog on a leash (he's a 10 lb. chihuahua) and not put our cigarte butts in front of OUR door. She mouths off comments to us every time we are outside. She has her dog out all day and we can't even use our yard. They smoke pot in their garage every night and have all their friends over every night drinking and standing around in the driveway till all hours of the night. We have never said anything to our land lord. We just moved to the area from hours away and dont know anyone here. But, this past weekend I had my sister and brother in law up to visit and I could tell the neigbors downstairs were pissed that I had visitors. They brought their two golden retreivers along and my bro in law was out on the lawn with his dog on a leash taking her to go poddy and someone downstairs told him to get off of the property before the dog downstairs bites his dog..I confronted the guy downstairs about EVERYTHING that has been going on since this girl moved in (bc it is her dog and cat) and he said that he would talk to her. Computer Stutters????????

Basically this started about a week ago. I was installing this whole batch of windows updates and it finished and told me to restart my computer to finish installing them. However I was in a game of Starcraft 2 so I waited to restart. Well I forgot to restart it and about an hour later the audio would stutter then basically my mouse and video. (Basically the computer) So I restarted it to finish installing the updates. Well it is still doing the stutter. I thought it was skype at first because whenever I click call or send a message it would happen 1/10 times. It is happening now just having a song in the background. Maybe every hour or so it will happen. It lasts about 2 seconds then goes back to normal. I have updated all my drivers and checked for viruses with multiple scanners and there are none. So, I've used this recipe in the past, and it worked out really well, the best cookies I've ever made, but I made them tonight (for a church function no less) and they're coming out terribly! They're hard, crispy and thin. I tried not to beat the batter too much, and only cooked them for about 6-7 minutes (they're crispy on the outside, and not done at all on the inside) The only difference I can think of is that I'm making two batches at a time, and using a different kind of butter (I'm using margarine, cause it was the only kind I had at the time) Can someone please tell me what went wrong, and can I save my cookies??!!

okay so like a month or two ago i frequently had earthquakes in my dreams, the 1st time i was scared but found shelter the 2nd time was too fuzzy too remember..there were some other times too but i don't remember. okay so last night i had a dream. i was in an unfamiliar place and iw as walking and my grandma was like is it an earthquake happening? so i walked out side with my grandma to the corner and it was shaking moderately hard to where i kind of fell off the sidewalk but not really. my aunt was there too somehow but so i was ducking down covering my head with not that much fear. i told my grandma and aunt to take cover and watch out for the pole behind them. i dont remember what happened after that, i think i woke up. so i've been reading up on this and it said that i don't feel emotionally stable and that new events are starting in my life and stuff. is there anything else to be said about this?

I am considering buying a condo on a golf course and I'm not sure if I can afford it or not. Ttc and worried n stressed!?

Then each year the DEVELOPER (the people making the game) switches between Infinity Ward and Treyarch (who made last year's Black Ops). MW3 is indeed being developed (made) by Infinity Ward. All of Infinity Ward was not fired; it was only a select few that were let go (mainly heads Jason West and Vince Zampella). The loss of these two is unfortunate as they were both very talented, but the developing company as a whole is still in existence and is creating MW3 alongside Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games.

Can I go after H & R Block for tax errors that they caused?

I went to H & R Block to have my taxes done in January of this year. I've never owed money or been penalized for anything, but now I'm getting letters from the state I live in telling me I owe them a lot of money with interest and penalties. H & R Block told me that I only owed Federal that I already paid in February. They are claiming that they are not responsible. had an amendment filed by a MANAGER because of errors done by the original preparer. I've been giving until 7/1/2011 to have this money that I didn't know I owed to be paid in full or it will continue to add interest and penalties. I did not buy a peace of mind because I was lead to believe that I didn't need it because my taxes were done correctly. They are refunding me my tax prep fee and the interest, but I have to pay hundreds out of my pocket that I don't have. If I had time I could have saved up the money and paid them before the April deadline. They lied to me and made mistakes on my taxes and they aren't owning up to there mistakes.

Honey, as a mom, I just wanna give a a big ol hug! We all mess up. I am pretty sure before your stepdad was a cop, he made some dumb decisions too! Don't think of yourself as a loser or a screwup. You just messed up thats all. I always tell my kids its ok to make a mistake, but once you keep making the same mistake over and over, its not a mistake anymore.....its a habit. Habits are very hard to break. First you need to sit your stepdad down and tell him what you have been doing. He will get mad, thats a given, but I don't think it will change the way he feels about you. Tell him you need his help and that you want to change, no matter what it takes. Second, the friends....you need to lose them. Friends that encourage you to do things that are wrong are not friends. There are what I like to call "Misery Mates"! They do things and know that its wrong, but if they have someone with them, if feels better. Misery love company! Thats basically all they are. True friends are not going to encourage you to even think about being around cocaine or do things that is wrong, especially with a cop for a stepdad! The last thing you need to do is forgive yourself....even if your stepdad doesn't, you have to forgive yourself and started working toward changing. You now have to gain his trust back and if you really want to correct your mistakes, you will have to do what is neccessary to make it right. Good luck, sweetie!
