Is there any way to check someone's stats (such as rank) in modern warfare 2 (pc)?

I know this guy who plays a lot of MW2, but very rarely at the same time as me. We're kind of rivals, and I want to know how we compare to each other. I know the ranks and game stats are stored on IW's servers, but is there any way to check how another play is doing, save for looking at his stats in the game lobby?
